The well nourished birth Worker

9 MONTH CONTAINER FOR PRACTICING BIRTH WORKERS

we are so happy you are here.

The Well Nourished Birth Worker is an 9 month container for YOU, a practicing birth worker who’s looking to deeply nourish yourself and allow this well of nourishment to ooze out throughout your life and to all of your clients.

We are here to be the keepers of the well of life.

Join Our Collective

The well nourished birth Worker aims to uplift, praise, and deeply nourish the bomb ass birthworker you know you are.

The Well Nourished Birth Worker program sees birth work as a radical act asking for us to examine systems and cultural narratives that no longer serve our collective. Together, we long to empower nourished birth workers who balance wise and necessary action with wise and nourishing care.

The Well Nourished Birth Worker container celebrates your birth practice as deeply spiritual. We will support you in cultivating this personally while courageously bringing this knowing into the birth room and the rest of your lives.

Cuz let’s be real, we can’t do this alone.

We dream of our cups overflowing….

…with capacity, joy, purpose, and sweet honey nectar.

AS BIRTH WORKERS, WE often EXPERIENCE:

* loneliness
* burnout
* the pains of navigating the medical system
* unpredictable hours
* interrupted rest
* impacted schedules
* witnessing and carrying second degree trauma

Most birth doulas experience burnout within two years of starting a full-time practice.
We cannot do this alone and we aren’t meant to.

the well nourished birth Worker offers:

  • a web of deep support

  • individual and collective initiations

  • business activation

  • tools and practices for mind, body, and SPIRIT connection

  • a place for learning and self inquiry

  • a space to be heard and held,

  • a space to recover, resource, and respond with greater capacity and courage

  • a space to get weird, silly, and return to the wild of the earth

  • a community of fellow birthkeepers that have your back

  • a consistent and joyful reminder of our connection to the elements and seasons through embodiment practices, self care tools, astrological insight, and nature connection

We offer a path of sustaining and thriving in our businesses, our lives, and our connection to the heart of this work.
We stand together as we birth a new way.

a look inside our program

In a circle of community, we offer council, practical tools, tending the tenders of the village, ritual, ceremony, multigenerational guest speakers, birth stories, retreat, and birth integration to support our paths of devotion to birth and mothering. Collectively, we doula each other.

We will weave in the five elements and the seasonal energies that guide us throughout the year, invoking the power of archetypal play and astrological insights. We meet regularly to create a consistent, cohesive community, build trust and safety, and witness each other in our journeys of  blossomings. We plant seeds. We are here to water each others’ dreams as they sprout and flourish into a new way of dynamic birth keeping.

Every element we have:

  • 1 Council Call opening the element

  • 1 Ceremony/Ritual plus council call per element (every element is two months long)

  • 1 Birth Integration/Business Mastery session per element

  • 1 Guest Speaker per element

  • Community Platform to stay connected

  • Free 20 minute calls with one of your guides, if needed. We understand that sometimes you just need to talk to someone or process a birth.

Council

Council is a form of group communication that supports each persons authentic voice. Council creates a space to ground and resource ourselves and each other as we hold space for sharing stories, different perspectives, and individual and community experiences. This is the heart of what we are doing together.

Ceremony/Ritual

We will come together in Ceremony & Ritual to bring elements of magic, spirit, Earth, ancestors, the seen and unseen, and sisterhood. To remember and see the sacred. To remember the sacredness of Birth & of of being a birthworker.

Birth Integration

We believe this to be one of the core pieces of what we can do together. Births are not meant to be integrated alone. We are here for each other…to share, understand, process, and learn from our experiences holding space for these mighty portals. In this way, we can nourish and replenish between births as we integrate the lessons and clarify our visions for a brighter birthing future.

Business Mastery

We will be brainstorming ways to improve our personal practices, including offering business mastery tools, and having dialogues of what is and isn’t working in our private birth work practices.

Guest SpeakerS

We will be joined by incredible guest speakers who will offer additional wisdom and knowledge to support our 9 month container. We are so excited and honored to weave these incredible voices of wisdom into our container.

Community Platform

Stay connected to our intimate circle of birth workers through Mighty Networks. Here we will have all of our content along with a clear and inclusive way to share, exchange and express from you hearts. We believe this to be an essential part of our online support system.

MEET YOUR GUIDES

We are three dear friends, three doulas, three birthworkers, and three women, called by Spirit and by each other to show up, serve, love each other well, and thrive. We are here because we cannot do this without each other and because we are not meant to walk this path alone. Being a birthworker today is an incredible calling of devotion, power, and presence. And in order to show up as fully as we can, we need to be nourished…by land, by spirit, by art, and by each other. We are here to hold space for you, as you move along this path of service and power. We are here to support this community in deep service to those that hold these life transitions in our hearts. We are devoted to the devoted birthworker.

  • Ari Eve Williams is born to a Honduran Mama & Eastern European Father. She lives in Santa Cruz on the original lands of the Amah Mutsun.

    Ari is a Birth worker, Chef, Wilderness Guide, & Ceremonialist. Over the past 5 years Ari has had the honor of supporting over a hundred families throughout birth & postpartum. She began attending her first births as a doula & midwifes apprentice in Honduras and Mexico. Ari’s work is fueled by her knowledge in mindfulness, nutrition, birth, nature connection, plant medicines, ancestral wisdom, nourishing foods, facilitation, yoga, meditation and community.

    Ari stands in support of life, death, transformation, & rebirth. She is a leader & a seeker, a story teller & a listener. She is a devotee of the Earth and looks to her for wisdom and guidance. She is a grief & death walker. She has risen from the ashes many times. She is a lover. She believes in the power of silence and in trusting the mystery. She is a fierce protector of birth & holds the hands and hearts of many, as they cross the thresholds into initiation.

    She is on the road to Midwifery and hopes to keep the ancient ways of birthing alive for the future generations to come. She is in devotion and service to walking with mothers and families in the sacred passage of birth with reverence, atonement, presence, & love.

  • Rachel is a full spectrum doula, training to be a somatic therapist, relationship enthusiast, sensual explorer, and student of ayurveda. With a background in sustainable farming Rachel deeply trust the body. She sees birth as an imitation - envisioning ceremony being brought back into the birth process. After years of “winning” conventional life, Rachel realised she longed for the village, of intact social structures that support the true wellbeing of humanity. Since she has dedicated much time to this research, and works to weave
    community back into harmony within our modern lives.

  • Verana is a word weaver, a channel for the stars, a birth keeper. She is a poet, songstress, and storyteller…a guardian of thresholds, a sacred disrupter, a magician, and an advocate for healthy, abundant families, communities, and birth.

    Verana is a full spectrum doula, childbirth educator, womb sovereignty coach, archetypal/counseling astrologer, and puppet master. She has been attending births since 2015 and walking beside her clients and beloveds in the birth room and through her intimate, exploratory, and magic-infused astrology readings. Through the lenses of racial and restorative justice and her own personal journeys of pain, loss and redemption, Verana found her way into the birth room and fell in love with liberating birth.

    She is dedicated to the remembrance and devotion to the birth/death/birth life cycle and to reminding all those she cares for that they are never alone…that no emotion or experience is too big or painful or strange. We all deserve beautiful, attuned care, and Verana stands strong and clear in her heart and capacity to serve life in this way. She is in deep devotion to the earth, to the wisdom of the body, and to the Divine Mother who moves through all things. Verana loves to dance, sing, play, and explore life, community, and creation along her mighty, magical earth walk.

we want to address your questions!

  • We know in our bones that we cannot do this work alone, and that the more nourished we are, the more we can show up for our clients, our families, and our communities in sustainable ways that promote flourishing and regeneration.

    We know that doula work can be challenging and often unseen work, and it takes a lot to stand strong in ourselves in the midst of serving in our current birth culture at this time. We are here to give you strength, equip you with knowledge and resources and surround you with fellow epic humans that have your back. We believe that our stories hold immense value, and we want to hear them. We want to remind you of your value and support your journey through supporting others.

    We want you to be so nourished it oozes out to all your clients and throughout your lives..so that your work feeds you just as much as it feeds the mothers and families you serve.

    A well nourished birth worker carries an ever evolving and embodied prayer for a clear mind, a clear heart, a healthy relationship to body, land, food, money, and sexuality…engaging in mutual community support and developing healthy practices and devotion to these pillars that we need and honor to grow and flourish.

  • The Well Nourished Birthkeeper is a 9 month container for the Spirit-led Birthkeeper looking to deepen into sisterhood, integration, and greater integrity on this path.

    Birth work is a deeply transformative and initiatory path…a path that deserves a wide and rich web of support.

    At Spirit of Birthkeeping we believe in making that web stronger, giving support to those that give support. We Doula the Doula. Birth work can be challenging, un-praised work. We are here to give you strength, equip you with knowledge and fellow humans that have your back. We believe that our stories hold immense value, and we want to hear them. We want to remind you of your value and support your journey through supporting others.

    For the birth worker who is looking to deepen into greater integrity on this path…knowing our limits, knowing our capacities, how to nourish ourselves. These are the channels of integrity with our paths, our communities, and the earth.

    Birth Work is a Radical Practice of showing up to this multi dimensional life.

    This is a global community of doulas, midwives, birth workers, nurses, and really anyone who interacts with the birthing continuum and feels called to the essence of this program.

  • We price our program at three tiers: $1800, $2100, and $2400.

    Though we long to live in a world where gifts and resources are exchanged freely and where clean water, healthy food, and great, holistic health care is free for all bodies, we also understand and acknowledge that we live within a global capitalist culture. We also know that money is powerful and abundance for all is part of our prayer for all people. We invite you to pay what feels like it stretches you into commitment and devotion, respects the work and wellness of your guides, and honors your current financial situation. Please feel into what is in your highest alignment at this time.

    We can also offer a sliding scale to acknowledge the various levels of access, privilege, and current life circumstances.

    We ask for a $400 payment up front and then monthly fees through the completion of the nine month program.

    We do not want money to be what keeps you from this container.

    If you have a clear yes to joining but money is the limitation to you joining please reach out to us. We love to create solutions.

    If you are attending from the global south, please reach out to us regarding pricing as the cost is greatly reduced.

  • We deeply value and believe in sharing knowledge and insights across cultures. We celebrate that diversity actually brings resilience and much needed variety into our experience.

    In the west, where birth has increasingly become medicalized, many professional are losing needed skills to safely assist birth. Now more than ever we have much to learn from other cultures where traditional birth practices remain in place.

    While we value and are excited by the voices outside the west (especially The United States where we, as your guides, were born and raised), we realize that we don’t always know what birth workers in other parts of the world are experiencing or what is needed for other birth workers to be supported in their practice. What is supportive in one environment may not be supportive in another. We are committed to global racial and restorative justice, and we also see this as a powerful opportunity for learning as we are ever students of life and birth.

    We desire this space to be open to any birth worker around the world, and realize this means we are very open to conversations and feedback. We intend to hold humbleness, curiosity, and excitement, and we are ready and willing to do this work toward bridging division, creating a more safe and brave community space. This means we commit to non harm and to repairing quickly and thoroughly if and when harm is caused.
